EA’s investment in Ireland

Electronic Arts today announced its plans and programs to make investment in Ireland. It will open a center for European customer service and operations for its BioWare (TM) studio, which will be based in Galway in the country Ireland. The new privilege will definitely provide BioWare with greater proximity to European players. This effective investment is being supported by the Irish Government through IDA Ireland. In the welcome address announcement, the Prime Minister of Ireland, Taoiseach Brian Cowen TD said that EA is the global leader in interactive entertainment filed and a very important addition to develop games industry in Ireland. According to Dr. Ray Muzyka, Senior Vice President, EA and Group General Manager, BioWare said that it will help them to get closer to their fans in Europe. EA will maintain its BioWare studio locations in Edmonton, Montreal, Fairfax, Virginia and Austin, Texas. The new locations in Galway is expected to be up and running in 2011.
